About Pimon
Dance has always been Pimon’s passion. During her formative years, she learned many forms of dance. Her expressive movement gained the attention of leading producers at the prestigious Patravadi Theatre in Thailand. Over seven years, Pimon performed as an actor, singer and dancer. She worked in both their props and costume departments and later became a producer for the same company.
Pimon came to Canada in 1996 and embraced the Milonguero, a close embrace style of tango since 2005, learning every style of tango along the way. She’s studied intensely in Buenos Aires, learning techniques and the real-life embrace of Milonguero tango.
She and her life partner, Jud Martell, teach the fundamentals of Milonguero before hosting their Duello Milonga in Vancouver, BC, held every 3rd and 5th Saturday of each month. Pimon believes that with tango, the process never ends. Therefore, she continues to inspire her students and the tango community by teaching and bringing in world-renowned teachers from Buenos Aires.
Pimon continues to travel the world in her tango pursuit, seeking international teachers, enjoying Encuentros, festivals and tango marathons, and selling her beautiful tango shoes.
In the fall of 2023, Pimon embarked on a new journey, gaining the qualifications to teach GYROTONIC® & GYROKINESIS® classes. She is a fully licensed practitioner.
Not only does Pimon believe in beautiful tandas, but she returns to her roots by teaching Thai cooking. She offers group and private classes. So if she’s not on the dance floor, you can find her cooking exquisite culinary dishes in the kitchen.
